Freezing cold winters aren’t always fun, but there are some things you can only do where temperatures drop extremely low. One of those things is to blow bubbles into the cold air, and watch it quickly transform into a beautiful, crystal-like orb.
This video was taken in Calgary, where they experience very cold winters. We’re not sure exactly how low the temperature has to be to make bubbles freeze, but you would want temperatures as cold as 9 to 12 degrees fahrenheit (-12 to -11 degrees celsius), or colder. For those of us who don’t live in cities that get that cold, we’ll probably have to make do with blowing bubbles into our freezers for now.
And while the end result of a frozen bubble is insanely cool, the freezing process is even cooler:
