Ramen Chain’s Emergency Toilet Paper Policy Shows The Depths Of Japanese Hospitality
Whether it's adorable costumes for dogs or a stunning life-sized plane engine, we've seen that Japan has its fair share of incredible cardboard artists crafting impressive work. Monami Ono, a graduate of the Osaka University of the Arts who studied 3D animation and now specializes in amazing cardboard artistry, may simply be the best, however. The talented and award-winning artist from Wakayama Prefecture's hobby for practicing animation on cardboard boxes has turned into a full-time craft, landing her appearances on Japanese television, workshop appearances, and even film campaign models.
Applying her knack for animation to cardboard boxes, she crafts meticulously detailed models of tanks, weapons, shoes, beer cans, Mobile Gundam Suits, and even the Millennium Falcon! Do yourself a favor and follow her on Instagram, Facebook, and her blog to keep up with her outstanding cardboard artwork.
