McDonald's Japan is no stranger to taking advantage of regional ingredients to spruce up their frozen beverage menu, having released Matcha and even crunchy Sakura McFlurries as Japanese exclusives in the past. This time around, McDonald's is turning to the mega-popular and colorful world of Pokémon for refreshing flavor inspiration, with the fast food chain set to release a Pokémon McFlurry this summer--the only question is which Pokémon the flavor will be inspired by. Fortunately, it seems you can help out.

Once the flavor is decided upon, the Pokémon McFlurry is scheduled to be released on July 14th, one day before the theatrical release of Pokémon the Movie 20: I Choose You!, as a promotional tie-in for the film. McDonald's Japan is going to model the flavor of the Pokémon McFlurry to match the color scheme and traits of one of six popular Pokémon!

Pikachu as Japanese summer time favorite, Chocolate Banana

Charmander would be a fiery Habanero McFlurry

If selected, Jigglypuff will deliver a White Peach McFlurry

Note: Jigglypuff's Japanese name is purin (pudding), so if it won we would find it highly likely this would be white peach pudding.

Squirtle would come in the form of Ramune (a popular Japanese soda) McFlurry

Bulbasaur's earthy green as a healthy Broccoli McFlurry

The ghostly Gengar comes in with a Purple Sweet Potato McFlurry

McDonald’s Japan technically isn't letting you vote for which flavor will be selected, but they are asking for Twitter responses and guesses of which Pokémon you think the Pokémon McFlurry will be modeled after. In the past, McDonald's ran a similar campaign with a pudding-themed Sanrio character--and one could speculate they included some nearly impossible menu items to manipulate the results. That doesn't seem to be the case here, as all McFlurry flavors seem quite possible in Japan. It's also possible McDonald's Japan is gauging crowd responses by counting the results. To guess the new flavor, simply follow McDonald's Japan on Twitter, and then retweet the Tweet featuring the Pokémon you select--this can be done by clicking on the button under your selected Pokémon.

The campaign ends July 10th, and those who participate will receive a McFlurry coupon via Twitter DM.

You can follow the reTweet count on the Pokémon below.
