DisneySea announced last year that they were planning an ambitious expansion to the Tokyo theme park. Now concept art has been released detailing some of the brand new themed areas to be added.

The massive project will cost 250 billion yen, the most expensive in the park’s history. This map shows the intended area that the park will be expanded out into. The green area is Disneyland and the blue is the existing DisneySea park. The red circle is the area planned for the expansion project.

Just as we thought Frozen fever was gone for good, it seems Japan can’t Let it Go. Replica scenery from the movie’s fictional kingdom of Arendelle will make up part of the new area.

There will also be a tribute to Peter Pan in the form of a Neverland themed section.

Rapunzel’s tower from the film Tangled is a planned new feature of the park.

Lastly, a 475 room hotel has also been unveiled as part of the project.

They hope the expansion can be completed and open to the public in 2022.

So far we’ve only got information on what the area will look like, so it will be exciting to learn what new rides and attractions DisneySea will announce in the future.
