Western Japan Flood and Landslide Disaster

Western Japan is still reeling from the impact of the worst flooding in 36 years, as a result of torrential rains. Overflowing rivers and landslides have caused suffering in many prefectures, the worst hit areas being Hiroshima and Okayama. At the time of writing, 162 people are confirmed dead and 56 are still missing.
