Japan’s one and only official, permanent Pokemon Cafe is celebrating the release of Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Let’s Go, Eevee! with a special, limited time only menu to honour the two beloved titular characters of the new games.
The Pikachu Plate meal is a firm favourite on the Pokemon Cafe's menu, but now you can catch an Eevee Plate too, which is basically the same, but you know, Eevee themed. It costs 1706 yen, and if you’d like to take a cool Eevee plate home with you, you can pay a bit extra (2894 yen both for the meal and plate).
If you just can’t decide between these two Pokemon heavyweights, choose the Pikachu and Eevee Good Friends Muffin Plate, which puts both of them in one convenient meal. The Pikachu muffin is bacon and egg, while the Eevee one is stuffed full of avocado tuna mayo.
But for the Pokemon trainers whose loyalties are firmly decided, you can go all out on one of the two with the plate sets. Including not just the plate main meal, but also the dessert and drink representing that Pokemon.
The Pikachu Plate Set comes with a mango rare cheesecake shaped like Pikachu’s lightning bolt tail, and a Pikachu lemonade float.
The Eevee version of the set has an adorable caramel rare cheesecake shaped like Eevee’s fluffy tail, and a cocoa float. Both these sets are 2894 yen each, but they’ll throw the plate itself in too, for a reasonable 4082 yen altogether.
A side dish bringing the two creatures together is also available, some Pikachu and Eevee Adventuring Fries for 1026 yen. I don't know about you, but those silhouettes are giving me 'Who's That Pokemon?' flashbacks.
Maybe you’re not that into Pikachu or Eevee (blasphemy!), in which case your after dinner coffee can be used to show your allegiances, as the latte art now covers all first generation Pokemon, meaning you can get your childhood favourite, however obscure it may be (as long as it was one of the original 151). Catching ‘em all in this case would result in a hell of a caffeine boost and is not recommended.
The special menu is available until 12th January 2019.
