One of Japan's most popular condiments and rice toppings, Momoya's Gohandesuyo! ごはんですよ! made from nori (laver) seaweed, seasoned with soy sauce and sugar, is sold in nearly every convenience store and supermarket in Japan, not to mention most Japanese food stores and many Asian supermarkets outside of Japan.

And yet, although Gohandesuyo! (which literally means "Dinner's ready!") has been enjoyed in Japanese households as a rice topping since 1972, the umami-filled condiment actually has possibilities not limited to Japanese cuisine.

If you're spending any time in Japan or have access to an Asian or Japanese food store in your area, you can get double mileage on your bottle of Gohandesuyo!

Try it classic style as a delicious rice topping, and then try it one of these quick and easy recipes for something completely new!
