When preparing for the upcoming humid rainy season known as tsuyu (梅雨) in Japan, bookstore and oddity shop Village Vanguard might not seem like it's at the top of the list for supplies to stock up on, but their line up of fantasy-themed one piece dresses may actually have an offering for those who want to ward off the rainy season in style. Village Vanguard's latest addition from designer "Favorite" is Princess Snow White poncho-style raincoat.
Despite the frills and lace, the coat is designed for wet and muggy weather with elastic polyester. Although it's advertised as a "kawaii" alternative to raincoats and panchos, Village Vanguard suggests the outfit for cosplay and fun dress up photos on social media.
With expected shipping set for July 2019, the cute raincoat is available from Village Vanguard's online shop (Japan only) for 15,098 yen.
