Just when we’d finally let it go, Disney are releasing the long awaited sequel to Frozen. Frozen 2: The Freezening. Only joking, it’s just called Frozen 2.

The continuation of Anna and Elsa’s adventures will come out in Japan later this month, just in time for the Christmas season, and Japan will never let an excuse for a Disney collaboration cafe pass them by. The Frozen 2 cafes will pop up in various Japanese cities, with an awesome character-inspired menu.

Rather than make the food specifically look like Anna, this sandwich and soup set is more inspired by the character’s colour palette. But there is also a little standee of Anna among the side salad, just in case you were in any doubt about who it represents.

Elsa’s muffin and soup pasta set also has white and blue snowy vibes to match Elsa’s clothing, with some icy motifs and a little Elsa cut-out in the middle of the plate.

They would be fools though, if they didn’t literally make an Olaf out of rice, which of course is what they have done. His cheeky smile accompanies the main event of meatballs and vegetables.

Kristoff and Sven’s bagel set comes packed to the brim with vegetables, including Sven’s favourite, a tasty and healthy carrot.

Take the salamander’s fiery heat and you get… a moderately spicy tomato curry. Well it is a kids’ movie after all. A dish everyone can enjoy.

There’s various special drinks on offer, including a perfect-for-winter cheesecake milk tea with a lovely Frozen character design floating on top.

From 20th December to 13th January, the cafes go into Frozen overdrive offering an even more extensive menu dubbed "Olaf in Holiday", making the nice-but-dim snowman into the star. An example is this cute Olaf pie dessert with lots of fruit and sweet potato paste.

If you’re a die-hard Disney fan, you won’t want to miss the original merchandise spanning a whole range of useful items, from Frozen cushions to phone cases.

The temporary cafes will appear at different times all over Japan.
