This year’s Theme at the Yokohama’s Red Brick Warehouse is the Christmas market in Nuremberg, Germany and additionally to the German elements, there will also be a market under the theme of “Seafood & Champagne”.

This Year’s Venues will have two different themes and will be divided into:

1. The Seafood and Champagne venue where you can enjoy a romantic atmosphere while enjoying a glass of champagne accompanied with delicious seafood

2. The Authentic German Market with wine and meat, sausages and a very friendly and festive Christmas atmosphere

From 22nd of November (Friday) to 25th of December (Wednesday), 2019 you will feel the holiday spirit in Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse’s Christmas market that has become so popular over the years and had over than 850,000 visitors in 2018!

This year is opened for 34 days and the lights are up from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. (trees until 11 p.m.) from the 14th of December to 25th of December, the opening time being 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. The admission is free, but for food and beverages, you will have to pay. The last order is 30 minutes before the closing time.

There will be authentic German cuisine, Nuremberg’s specialty: Nuremberg sausage, the classic mulled wine, and around 34 different German dishes for the German Venue. As for the Seafood and Champagne new market, you can pick from 20 kinds of champagne that are a good match with seafood and you can spend an amazing night with your beloved one.

Hutte Roofs with red and white stripes will recreate the German city of Nuremberg and decorated in Christmas colors, the German venue will bring you a home-like cozy feeling, very enjoyable for both adults and children.

It is undoubtedly the perfect place to come with family or friends. Now, the new market area situated near the seaside brings us some romantic elements given by the elegant atmosphere of the place, with beautiful lights and simple, but refined decorations.

A 10 meters Christmas tree will also stand gracefully on the seaside behind the Christmas venue and the illumination roof with endless light bulbs, very popular last year, will become a light tunnel coloring the whole venue and Christmas tree in 2019.

You can buy traditional German sweets, Christmas goods and even limited-edition mugs available only here for a nice souvenir of the Aka Renga’s Christmas Market. The market will liven up with performances and Christmas songs and if you are lucky, you might even meet Santa Claus and get a nice present.
