With movies and TV shows that are popular worldwide, it’s no surprise that Disney has had countless toys modeled after their characters. In Japan, Disney characters are quite popular too, and there’s always a new type of merchandise being released in the country.

With this in mind, Japanese toy company Takara Tomy have come up with a new type of Disney toys: character plushies that can fit right in the palm of your hands. Called “Minimagination Town”, these plushies are said to be “the size of an egg”.

The mini plushies come in two types. The first is the “Mini Mini Friends” series, which are fun-size plushies of classic Disney characters. They also come with accessories, like tiny hats and purses, which can be attached to the plushie itself.

These toys aren’t just meant to be cute to look at though; they can be interactive as well. This is where the second type comes in. The “Mini Mini Set” are accompanying plushie houses and cars that are matched to each of the characters in size and appearance.

This is shown in the press release for the toys, which has Mickey Mouse riding around in his car to deliver a treat to Minnie, who then shows appreciation to him through a kiss on the cheek.

Aside from the main Disney gang, there are also plushies from Toy Story, like Buzz Lightyear, Woody, and Forky, who was introduced to us in the most recent Toy Story 4 movie. Winnie the Pooh and his best friend Piglet get their own plushies too.

The Minimagination Town line of toys are available in department stores and toy stores all across Japan from April 2, 2020.
