There are no curves in the world of 六角堂DADA (Rokkakudō DADA).
And yet, with only straight lines, the artist conjures up compositions which are at times moody, at times elegant, but always aesthetically pleasing interpretations of scenes from everyday life. Instead of limiting expression, straight lines are enabling forces, allowing the artist to reinterpret the familiar with surprising results.
It's no wonder Rokkakudō DADA is known among fans as "the sorcerer of straight lines."

Artist Profile
Born in 1986, lives in Tokyo. Finished graduate program at Musashino Art University, won award from work submitted at graduation exhibition. Began working as illustrator in graduate school.
Influenced by video game culture and Ukiyo-e traditional Japanese woodblock paintings, Rokkakudō DADA creates flat works using straight lines. The artist has a broad range of activities from magazine covers and insert illustrations to analog games.
