When the weather isn’t so great, it can be tempting as an anime fan to stay at home and binge watch all your favourite Studio Ghibli classics. But sometimes you have to leave your warm and cosy nest, so why not bring the comforting presence of your favourite characters with you?

Japanese store Donguri Kyowakoku is a veritable Studio Ghibli goods wonderland. The official retailer has an awe-inspiring amount of merchandise on the shelves, all inspired by the legendary animation studio, and their new lineup of rain-wear is perfect to keep a Ghibli fan's spirits up on a rainy day.

The cute but practical designs have been made with adult fans in mind, ensuring that the items are trendy and wearable enough for every day life. The rain jackets have a stylish silhouette so they can be worn as fashionable coats even when it’s not raining.

The two designs have been inspired by fan favourite movies, My Neighbour Totoro and Kiki’s Delivery Service. Both of them are largely plain with a character design on the cuffs and bottom portion of the raincoat.

The Totoro design stars the eponymous character himself caught in a spot of rain, holding a cute yellow umbrella. The main part of the coat is a fetching forest green in a nod to Totoro’s dwelling place.

The Kiki version has the young witch flying in a cloudy Koriko sky, the main bulk of the raincoat a fitting navy blue.

The character-featuring prints are used again for the range's matching waterproof eco bags.

These handy bags are designed to keep rain out, so it can also be used as a cover for your usual bag when caught in an unexpected deluge.

They can be compactly stored and transported making them extra convenient.

The products are available in Donguri Republic stores all over Japan (shop list available on official website), or through their online shop.
