Manga artist Chihiro Fujisawa (@uwabamic) was sketching on her tablet during a recent flight from Hokkaido to Tokyo.

When she woke up, she was surprised to find this on the seat tray next to her tablet.

Someone had drawn a cute bear character on a paper cup and left a special message for Mr. Fujisawa. It read:

You’re so good at drawing!

Have a nice flight

Ms. Fujisawa’s secret admirer left her a bunch of candies too.

Certainly one of the cabin attendants noticed the sketch on the tablet and was impressed.

Such a kind gesture would make anyone’s day! Ms Fujisawa was elated and shared the moment with her followers on Twitter. And it seems she’s not alone…

Twitter user travelweekend (@aviationtat) said, “They drew on my cup too! Haha!”

And Yu (@you_smile_39) said, “That’s so cute! I also got some candy and an illustrated cup from the Air Do flight attendant six years ago. I was so happy, I still have it!

It seems to be quite a trend. I’m thinking of flying Air Do myself on my next (yet unplanned) trip to Hokkaido. I hope I get a nice mid-flight surprise too…
