New cat-themed kitchenware set from Japan has everything you need for a tea party
It's typhoon season in Japan. Typically that means a few stormy nights when residents stay home. On such hazardous occasions, all you can do is hunker down in bed with a good book or a good movie and hope the power doesn't go out.
Sure enough, some fear these heavy storms, and for a good reason. Stronger typhoons are capable of stripping the siding from houses or knocking down large trees. I would know: a few years back, a 15-meter tree almost fell on the housing complex I was living in at the time. Fortunately, I wasn't home and the tree fell short.
Manga artist Kinako Mochitsuki (kinakomochitsuki) is familiar with the anxiety that accompanies such blustery nights. She lives with a dog and a cat who struggle to sleep during heavy rains and typhoons. Here is her experience.

Fortunately, everyone got to sleep...eventually.
