When a hairdresser needs to practice cutting hair, they need a model.

Some hairdressers will even approach people on the street and offer to give them a free haircut, providing they have long enough hair so they can practice cutting different styles.

Certainly being offered a free haircut by a professional has its appeal...

as long as you know they’re actually a real hairdresser.

When a Suspicious Character Asks You to be His Hair Model

Ina (inasan_mainichi) is a manga artist/salarywoman.

One of Ina’s followers told her a story about being approached by a man to be a hair model, and Ina turned the episode into a manga.

The story follows Lao when she was a high schooler.

Although the man looked a bit ruffled and his hairstyle was… less than attractive, Lao didn’t suspect anything funny when asked to be his hair model.

But when he found out no one was home at her house…he suggested they cut her hair there.

That should have set off alarms in Lao’s head, but she said she was just too exhausted to think straight. So instead…

What a relief that her mom was home! Although Lao didn’t realize how lucky she was, the man certainly did because when Lao and her mom went outside...

As soon as they went outside and no one was to be found, Lao’s mom understood how much danger her daughter had been in.

Lao recounted this story to Ina because she hopes that other people will be more careful when approached by strangers.

Although she knows “not everyone who asks you to be a hair model is suspicious, you still have to stay alert,” Lao said.
