These Demon Slayer jack-o-lanterns show some next-level carving skills

Even if trick-or-treating may be somewhat restricted this year due to social distancing concerns, there will still be many who wish to celebrate the spirit of Halloween by displaying a jack-o-lantern in front of their house. Normally, at grape Japan, we wouldn't carry a story about real jack-o-lanterns since carving them isn't part of Japanese culture and you'd have to know someone from the expat community to see one on display. However, in this case, we have good reason to introduce some amazing jack-o-lanterns since they're designed in anime motifs!

Jen Cheung and her husband Geoffrey surely share many things, but two of them are plain for anyone to see: a love of anime, and artistic skills. When Halloween comes around, those two things find suitable expression in some amazing jack-o-lanterns. This year, the couple chose Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba to carve a series of pumpkins, each one representing a main character in the story.

Anime jack-o-lanterns: others

This isn't the first time the couple has carved some amazing anime-themed jack-o-lanterns. Here are two examples of their previous handiwork:

With such amazing skills, you have to wonder what they'll be up to next year! Hopefully, by that time, the world will be in a better situation so that (assuming they put their jack-o-lanterns on display) there will be more kids and parents trick-or-treating for them to appreciate their next-level carving!
