McDonald’s Japan and Godiva released the Chocolate Espresso Frappe and Macaron on their first collaboration together.

The Belgian chocolatier, Godiva, well-known for their selection of luxurious sweets, has now teamed up with McCafe by Barista and brought us a new delicious frappe, and at a reasonable price!

The Frappe is on sale from the 25th of November, and you have two options to choose from:

  • Godiva Chocolate Espresso Frappe, for only 540 yen
  • Godiva Chocolate Espresso Frappe&Macaron, for 640 yen

Both have the same ingredients; however, the Godiva Chocolate Espresso Frappe&Macaron also has a vanilla cream macaron on top of the chocolate whipped cream.

The ingredients contain cocoa powder mixed with milk, dark chocolate cocoa mass infused with a fragrant espresso, and finished with chocolate whipped cream and Belgian high-cocoa couverture chocolate sauce on top.

The rich taste of chocolate blends well with the espresso's deep fragrance, creating a very luxurious drink for both coffee and chocolate lovers.

The cups also have a cute design with the logos of McCafe by Barista, and Godiva, inside the shape of a heart. It has gold sparkles, and I feel that it fits well with the winter holidays, too.

If you go for the Macaron drink, you also get a touch of crispness and sweetness from the vanilla cream macaron.

The espresso has carefully selected coffee beans that give off a mesmerizing scent, and the amount of attention put in every detail of the drink makes it well-balanced and delicious.

As it is a limited-edition drink, you should try it out before the sales period ends.
