Five pop-up cafes themed after the 2020 rhythm action game Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory are set to open in Tokyo and Osaka. The cafes will be open for a limited time between December 2020 and March 2021, and in preparation for this, the cafe producers released the menu so that Kingdom Hearts fans can know what to expect ahead of time.

The menu items are directly inspired by characters and locations that appear in the game. Some of the dishes, for example, are inspired by the main characters and childhood best friends Sora, Riku, and Kairi, and they’re served with cutouts of their individual weapons.

Tomato Pasta (inspired by Sora), 1,599 yen

Chicken Burger (inspired by Riku), 1,599 yen

Cream Stew (inspired by Kairi), 1,599 yen

Another character-inspired dish is based on Mickey Mouse, or “King Mickey”, as he’s sometimes referred to in the game. For an additional 2,000 yen, you also get to keep the plate that the sandwich is served on.

Tuna Sandwich (inspired by Mickey Mouse), 1,399 yen

The food items based on game locations are Agrabah from Aladdin, and Neverland from Peter Pan. They can only be ordered at the Shibuya Box and Umeda Box cafes.

Chicken Curry (inspired by Agrabah), 1,699 yen

Seafood Curry (inspired by Neverland), 1,699 yen

The cafe menu includes 3 different cold drinks, priced at 899 yen each. There’s an herbal pineapple soda inspired by Destiny Island’s native Paopu Fruit, blue lemonade inspired by a star fragment, and strawberry tea that takes after the colors of Mickey, Donald, and Goofy’s outfits. The drinks will also come with two coasters if you pay an additional 1,000 yen.

The sea salt ice cream that appeared in a famous scene with Roxas, Xion and Axel becomes the cafe’s dessert menu item for 1,199 yen. It also comes served with hot milk in a bottle that depicts the aforementioned iconic game moment.

Last but not the least, the cafe also takes inspiration from Pooh and his most favorite thing on earth with a honey latte drink. The mug it comes served in can be brought home for an additional 1,650 yen.

The earliest opening of a Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory cafe is on December 12, 2020 at Shibuya and Umeda, and some branches will run until March 12, 2020 at the very latest.
