This holiday season, Harajuku’s Kawaii Monster Cafe will collaborate with stuffed toy brand TY Beanie Babies for the ultimate vibrant mash up.

From 18 December 2020 to 17 January 2021, TY Beanie Babies will come to Kawaii Monster Cafe. The colourful and unique characteristics of the stuffed animals seem to be on par, and match with the ‘poisonous cuteness’ of Kawaii Monster Cafe.

During the collaboration event, some of the cafe’s popular areas will be elaborately decorated for use as photo spots. Additionally, special limited edition food and goods celebrating the event will be available.
Children visiting the cafe during the event will also receive a free TY Mask upon entry.

TY Beanie Babies x Kawaii Monster Cafe Photo Spot

Kawaii Monster Cafe’s ‘Mel-Tea Room’ will be redesigned as a special photo spot showcasing the magical world of TY Beanie Babies during the event.
Take a commemorative photo with the stuffed animal toys on the bed or chill out with your favourite character on the fluffy carpet.

TY Beanie Babies x Kawaii Monster Cafe Gift Stage

Did you know that every TY plush toy has a ‘birthday’? And every birthday always deserves celebrating.
During the event, the popular ‘Sweets-go-Round’ area at the cafe will be remodelled to appear as a ‘TY gift stage’. On the stage, gift boxes showcasing stuffed TY animals will be displayed, so that you can imagine sharing a special birthday event with both TY and that special someone.

If you have a favourite stuffed toy, you’ll be able to find it in the Kawaii Monster Cafe’s goods store. There is also a special limited edition ‘Christmas-coloured TY Beanie Baby, which will make for a perfect gift this winter season.
Three different sizes of stuffed animals are available, as well as portable and practical goods like key chains and pencil cases.

TY Beanie Babies x Kawaii Monster Cafe Collaboration Menu

The collaboration cafe will start on 18 December 2020, and will include six limited edition dishes dedicated to the colourful world of TY Beanie Babies, alongside a special TY food rendition of Monster Cafe’s mascot character. Each dish is unique and will bring to life some of TY’s most popular characters.

Kawaii Monster Cafe mascot ‘Mr. Choppy’ Burger

Kawaii Monster Cafe’s mascot Mr. Choppy gets a cute TY inspired makeover in this tasty chicken hamburger dish. Complete with a side of fries and plenty of honey mustard sauce, this burger is sure to fill your inner monster.
