COVER Corporation announced in a press release today that at 11:59 p.m., February 12th, 2021, it had started its second round of auditions for the next generation of global talents to join the Vtuber group hololive English.

This is your opportunity to join the ranks of Ninomae Ina’nis, Takanashi Kiara, Watson Amelia, Mori Calliope, and Gawr Gura, as you take part in exciting activities on a global scale!

Since hololive English began in September 2020, the group has experienced a meteoric rise in popularity, with subscriber numbers quickly reaching and overtaking some of the most popular Vtubers in the world. At the time of writing, all five members are in the top 21st places for Vtubers in terms of subscribers. Moreover, Gawr Gura is now second only to Kizuna AI at 2,210,000 subscribers, joining Mori Calliope, and just recently, Watson Amelia, in the prestigious 1 million club (according to "Vtuber Ranking" operated by User Local, Inc.)

Do you think you have what it takes to call them your sempai?

Here's what you need to know:

Pre-requisites

  • Must be an English speaker (ability to speak Japanese is a plus)
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Any gender is allowed
  • Any nationality is allowed (Japanese nationals are also welcome)

Eligibility

According to the application form, the additional criteria of eligibility also apply:

  • Be able to deliver content continuously for at least one year
  • Be able to deliver content at least 3 times a week (content provided after getting home or on your days off while you're studying or working is fine)
  • Have a proven track record as a content creator (including, but not limited to, gaming, music, and illustration)

* For additional queries, please refer to the application website and/or form.

The application period ends on Friday, March 26, 2021, at 11:59 PM (JST)

For the application, you'll need to submit a roughly 5-minute self-introduction video, either with video or audio only, and upload it unlisted to YouTube.
