Kewpie Mayonnaise is probably the most recognized and most bought mayonnaise in Japan.

Compared to other types, it is slightly on the healthy side and uses only egg yolks, rice/apple vinegar, no additional salt/sugar.

The egg yolk offers the mayonnaise a richer taste and a creamier texture. It goes perfect with sushi, veggies, on toast, sandwiches, or the tuna mayo onigiri (tuna mayonnaise rice balls).

Also, thanks to the many layers in its packaging that keep the oxygen out, the mayonnaise and its delicious taste last much longer.

Kewpie’s original container is light and has the shape of a tube.

Now, the company has come up with a new design that features Charles M.Schulz characters' from the Peanuts comic.

The new container looks like a jar and has an adorable design of the Peanuts gang, including Snoopy, one of Japan’s most beloved characters.

The new spring/summer design will be on sale from February, and after summer is over, they will switch to the autumn/winter design.
