Those of you who were planning a trip to Japan that got postponed due to the pandemic may have already found ways to experience the country virtually while they wait for the real thing. Virtual tours are blooming, allowing armchair explorers to do anything from viewing tour videos to connecting live with local people offering tours and experiences through Zoom.

However, when it comes to camping and experiencing the great outdoors, the remote options are probably much more restricted if present at all. Until now, that is.

Today, you can pick up your smartphone, Switch, PS4, or just visit the Steam store on your computer not only to experience camping against gorgeous backdrops of Japanese nature, but do it together with Rin and Nadeshiko from the popular camping manga and anime Laid-Back Camp.

Spend a relaxing day near Mt. Fuji in a fully-voiced adventure game in which you can explore and enjoy camping with Nadeshiko and Rin and the gang. You can experience situations that are equivalent to an episode of an anime. If you play with your smartphone, you can get the feeling that you're there holding up your own smartphone as you take photos, or you can feel like you've stepped right into their world if you play in VR.

In the Lake Motosu version, you take on the role of Nadeshiko and experience camping with Rin, and in the Fumoto Campsite version, you take on the role of Rin and experience camping with Nadeshiko. The Lake Motosu version is available today.

You'll be camping here at the lakeside, spend the evening and then watch the sunrise in the morning. Here are your tents.

Playing as Nadeshiko, here you are taking a selfie together with Rin

You can even send the photos you take to Chiaki and the others (Screen dialogue> Nadeshiko: "Today we're camping at Lake Motosu!" Chiaki: "Ohhh, that's awesome!")

As the sun sets, the two of you enjoy your conversation.

Dinner time! Everything looks so delicious in Laid-Back Camp...

More fun conversation with Rin

Rise and shine! Mt. Fuji looks glorious, and it's time to commemorate with a snapshot of Rin
