Japan's Awaji Island holds a rich tradition of crafting some of the most highly praised incense in the country. Founded in 1993, incense maker Kunjudo has kept that tradition alive by working with skilled artisans to combine time-tested crafting methods with inventive ideas. One such popular idea is HA KO (a combination of the Japanese words for "leaf" and "incense"), which presents a variety of soothing fragrances in the form of beautiful incense paper leaves.
The handcrafted fallen incense leaves can be enjoyed by simply burning (over an inflammable mat or plate) in a mater of 5-7 minutes, filling the room with a variety of relaxing aromas, or simply used as an elegant decorative piece that will slowly and subtly provide aroma that lasts for about 3 months at room temperature.
Each differently shaped leaf provides a different fragrance, including Spicy jasmine, Agarwood, Elegant citrus, Sandalwood, Smoky cinnamon, White floral, Green grass, and True aqua.
Check out the elegant HA KO fallen leaf paper incense at grape SHOP, where you can find them available in a set of 5, as well as a set of 6 that comes with a set plate as well.
