Choice Hotels Japan introduced a new addition to their complimentary breakfast service at their Comfort Hotels nationwide.

Their "Springtime Nanohana Veggie Potage" was developed in collaboration with Kagome Corporation.

For those who don't know it, nanohana 菜の花 refers to the young shoots of the rapeseed plant (Brassica napus), and they're considered a Spring delicacy in Japan.

A "Soup for Spring" poll was held on Kagome’s community site "&KAGOME" to decide the spring menu.

"Springtime Nanohana Veggie Potage" ranked No. 1 in the survey, so was selected for Comfort Hotel’s spring soup.

Comfort Hotel hopes the brightly-colored soup will invigorate customers’ day with a burst of nutrition and energy.

The hotel chain’s campaign bears the slogan "Color your Morning," aligned with Kagome’s stated mission of "making breakfast easy, even on busy mornings," and "providing a menu that includes a delicious helping of vegetables."

There are more than 60 Comfort Hotels located across cities in Japan, from Hokkaido to Okinawa.

So if you end up spending the night at a Comfort Hotel, don’t forget to try out their healthy veggie potage and see if it adds an extra bounce to your step.
