Ueo Seika Ltd. 株式会社上尾製菓, a manufacturer of Japanese sweets established in the cradle of green tea, Uji-Tawaracho, in Kyoto Prefecture, has launched a new project called Neko Nincha Cappuccino ねこ忍茶カプチーノ through a crowdfunding campaign ending on May 11th, 2021.

The Neko Nincha Cappuccino project aims to convey the qualities of Uji-Tawaracho green tea in a cute and appealing format that everyone can enjoy.

The birthplace of green tea is Uji-Tawaracho!

Most people in Japan and even the world know Uji as the city of tea in Kyoto.

Uji-Tawaracho, where Ueo Seika Ltd. is located, is a rural town without even a train station, but it is actually the place where green tea was first produced.

In spite of this fact, even people in Kyoto City sometimes ask: "Where is Uji-Tawaracho?"

Hoping to contribute to the community and promote Uji-Tawaracho tea to the world, Ueo Seika Ltd. decided to make Neko Nincha Cappuccino.

Five characteristics of Neko Nincha Cappuccino

  • 1. Made with authentic tea leaves from Uji-Tawaracho, the birthplace of green tea.
