Although the current situation is tenuous for Tokyo’s planned Olympic Games, Lacoste have just teamed up with the IOC to release an awesome look back at the city’s previous Olympics.

The French sportswear brand have created a capsule collection of clothing featuring motifs and designs inspired by the 1964 Tokyo Olympic Games.

It’s an important event to commemorate, as it was the first ever Olympics held in Asia. Fans of historic Olympic Games will surely want to get their hands on some of this capsule collection since it features the original Tokyo 1964 logo, designed by Yusaku Kamekura.

Even if you’re not into sports, the retro designs are on trend and can be worn for many different occasions. The models selected for the campaign come from various backgrounds such as dancers and actors, and their styling shows the versatility of the outfits.

The presale in Japan is for a very limited time only and is currently ongoing until 19th May 2021. The collection can be found in various Lacoste stockists and on Lacoste Japan's online store. After that there will be another presale in other countries such as France, Germany, United Kingdom, Canada, Spain, and Italy from July 15th. It will also go on sale in the shop of the Olympic Museum in Lausanne, Switzerland, and the Lausanne Lacoste store.
