With all the themed cafes in Japan inspired by popular media, it’s really the place to be if you like to eat burgers that look like your favourite character. From a globally-adored franchise like Pokemon, or retro anime like Hamtaro, any recognisable face can be recreated as a burger bun.

One especially cute version of this trope is the Winnie the Pooh burgers that turn up for Oh My Cafe’s ‘Hunny’s Cafe in Strange Dreams’. This year, the collaboration cafe is popping up in Osaka with two separate themes.

The first menu is the ‘Nightmare Menu’ from 9th June to 11th July followed by the ‘Honey Menu’ from 12th July until 25th.

Since the theme relates to dreams, the Winnie the Pooh chicken burger (2079 yen) looks like he’s in a deep slumber.

The same can be said of the curry rice (1749 yen) which is also on the ‘Nightmare Menu'.

The ‘Honey Menu’ is made up of honey-laden dishes such as the honey burger (2079 yen), honey apple curry (1749 yen) and a ‘Picnic Salad’ (1749 yen).

Other cute dishes will stay on the menu the whole time, such as the Piglet salad (1089 yen) and Tigger salad (979 yen).

There’s also plenty of cute drinks, both hot and cold, inspired by various characters from Hundred Acre Wood.

Of course, there’s plenty of cute merchandise for Disney fans to get their sticky honey-covered paws on at the cafe’s goods shop.

The cafe will be popping up at Kawara Cafe&Dining Shinsaibashi in Osaka until 25th July 2021. Check out the Oh My Cafe website to reserve a table or check out the full menu.
