It seems everyone worldwide is a fan of the cartoon Peanuts. grape Japan has certainly covered the series' popularity before and the Peanuts Cafe in Nakameguro it inspired.

Potomak recently opened the Peanuts Cafe Sunny Side Kitchen on August 1, 2021 in Harajuku. There, fans of the characters can enjoy health-conscious meals all day long.

Moreover, the cafe has kept the publication's wholesome themes in mind. Motifs centering around "self-love" and "caring for one another" are incorporated throughout the venue, alongside other fan favorites and Easter eggs.

That said, the cafe is all about fostering a healthy start to the day. Cafe goers can enjoy menu items that support a productive morning, such as homemade tuna sandwiches—a favorite of author Charles M. Schultz—salads with special herbs and open sandwiches with fried eggs.

gluten-free doughnuts

Individuals with a gluten-free diet have to work for what they eat. That is especially true in Japan, where gluten-free items are even harder to come by.

Fortunately, Snoopy and other characters are big fans of doughnuts. Inspired by the series, the cafe also offers eight types of gluten-free doughnuts that are less taxing on the body. Sure enough, these doughnuts are not just about the ingredients. They are also aesthetically pleasing as they are delicious, and they have a soft-baked texture stemming from their use of rice flour.

Naturally, they make for a perfect standalone snack or a dessert topping off a meal. Customers can eat in or order one to go. Take-out boxes are also available, and they make for a great souvenir.

Other items

The Peanuts Cafe in Harajuku has more than food for sale. The store also offers environmentally friendly and sustainably produced original goods such as tableware.

Pastel tableware with gently colored themes. Preparing a meal with such cute tableware is a wonderful start to the day.

Chainstitch T-shirts

Other convenient and cutely-themed items like eco bags are also available. They make the perfect gift, so head to the store to see them for yourself.

Reactions on Twitter

Many Peanuts fans have turned to Twitter to express their excitement:

“I went to the peanut cafe in Harajuku that opened on the 1st."

"The Peanuts Cafe Sunny Side Kitchen opposite of the Harajuku Daiso. The mango smoothie was cold and delicious at the newly opened shop! Maybe because it was a weekday, there were only a couple of people, but it took some time to get the food. There were lots of goods. There was also a pink stuffed animal from Kobe!"

"Hooray! Harajuku Peanuts Cafe! It was really empty! All the terrace seats had a large Snoopy stuffed animal"

Why not head to the cafe for an excellent summer breakfast? Enjoy!
