Traditional Japanese tableware maker Shun Japan has really been on a roll in adding some color to your favorite beverages with their series of drinking glass sets that celebrate distinct changes in season.

Some of their recent highlights have included sake drinking glasses that change color depending on the temperature of your drink, including a pair that show full bloom sakura when filled and another that show off a fantastic summer festival fireworks display (both available from grape SHOP).

Their latest release celebrates koyo, the brilliant yellow, orange, and red fall foliage that marks the beginning of the fall season: a pair of drinking glasses featuring leaves that turn to fall colors when filled with a chilled drink.

The set of glasses display white and green leaves that are pretty in their own right, but when filled with a chilled beverage (below 17℃ to be exact), a special inner coating transforms the leaves into brilliant yellow, orange, and red fall foliage.

Here's a video that shows off the transformation process.

Packaged as a pair, the glasses are intended for chilled drinks (particularly sake) and show off the leaf transformation best with a clear beverage, but can be used with any beverage to achieve the effect. The glasses also respond to body temperature, so simply holding it can produce a constant change of brilliant fall colors.

The glasses are also available as sakazuki, traditional saucer-like cups for drinking sake, that transform into colorful fall leaves as well.
