The animated film Castle in the Sky, the first by Studio Ghibli and one of Hayao Miyazaki's masterpieces, is now commemorating its 35th anniversary.
One of the most famous and memorable scenes from the film is when Sheeta, a descendant of the long-forgotten kingdom of Laputa, accidentally falls from an airship. As she plummets, her descent into Slag Ravine is slowed by the magical powers of her crystal necklace. There, the young orphan Pazu who works as a miner notices her mysterious descent and catches her as she floats down...

Now this famous scene has been made into an ingenious figurine with practical applications that you can enjoy at home!
Pazu "catch-all" holder figurine
This figurine has both decorative and practical uses. As a display object, you can just enjoy it as it is, or, if you happen to have a Sheeta figurine or a crystal necklace replica, as seen below, you can display it like this:
When it comes to its practical applications, this handy Pazu is designed to "catch" and hold various objects such as your favorite eyewear, writing instruments, a letter opener, or anything else you can think of.
You could even have several of them lined up in a row. That would be quite a surreal sight. (Maybe it's a Laputian magic spell!)
The holder is scheduled to go on sale at the Studio Ghibli specialty store "Donguri Republic" and online stores from October 23rd, 2021.
Note: The Donguri Republic Soranoue store only ships domestically, but you may be able to have products shipped internationally through a proxy shopping service such as Buyee or White Rabbit Express.
