For those a bit overwhelmed by calories and carbs of Burger King Japan's Tokyo Teriyaki Tower Super One Pound Beef Burgers and Guilty Butter Burgers, there's at least the Version 2 plant-based patty only Whopper

Those who want to make things even simpler now have a great but somewhat surprising limited time option. Burger King has announced it will be selling their 100% flame-grilled beef patties as an on-their-own solo item, which you can top with one of three flavored sauces.

The new solo beef patties, which is called On the Beef, are obviously great for those looking for low-carb protein fix, but Burger King is promoting them as a way to enjoy their signature beef patties as directly as possible without any distraction from the flavor. There's two ways you can enjoy your On the Beef patty:

On the Beef

The simpler On the Beef option is a beef patty seasoned with salt and pepper for 250 yen.

Sauce On the Beef

There's also the 300 yen Sauce On the Beef, which allows customers to pick one of three sauces to be drizzled on top of the patty for extra flavor. The three choices include a spicy sauce made from chili peppers, garlic, and Doubanjiang (spicy Chinese soybean paste), a teriyaki sauce made from red miso and charred onions, and a smoky BBQ sauce.

Both solo beef patty items will be available starting from October 29th, but for only seven days at Burger King locations in Japan (ending November 4th), but those who miss out appear to have two side snacks to chew on for a while.

Cheddarich Chicken Nuggets

Burger King Japan will also be releasing new Cheddarich Chicken Nuggets, which blends their crispy and juicy chicken nuggets with a thick and rich cheddar cheese that can be paired with BBQ or honey mustard sauce (5 pieces 210 yen, 8 pieces 270 yen).

Chili Cheese Fries

Although not a new item, Burger King Japan will be welcoming back their Chili Cheese Fries with a new thicker and richer cheese sauce on top of their 11-spice chili (350 yen).
