Fans of anime in Japan have plenty of ways to wear homages to their favourite characters in their daily life. This includes all types of clothing and accessories, including footwear.

An exciting release this month features an especially classic anime series which is beloved around the world. Japanese sporting goods brand Mizuno has created a collection inspired by Naruto Shippuden. There’s three sneaker designs to choose from, each one themed around a main character of the series.

Fans will instantly link each design to the respective character due to the recognisable colour schemes. The orange, black and grey pair represents Naruto, the pink, white and red design is Sakura, and lastly, the navy, purple and grey ones are Sasuke-themed.

There’s also motifs relating to each character on the back of the sneakers, and various details that super fans are sure to recognise. The logo on the Naruto shoes is made to look like toad's skin, while Sasuke's logo is snake skin-style. Each pair costs 13,200 yen.

The range is called ‘Contender Naruto’ and they can be copped on Mizuno’s online store, selected Mizuno branches (Mizuno Tokyo, Mizuno Osaka Chayamachi, Mizuno Shop Yokohama Porta, Mizuno Shop Kyoto Shinkyougoku), and some Mizuno stockists (Gettry Harajuku, Gettry Kyoto, Mischief etc.). Naruto merchandise store Jump Shop is also in on the action and certain locations are stocking the collection.
