Japanese Twitter user Hatsuga 発芽 (@Hatsuga_24) enjoys stitching and pottery. An animal lover, Hatsuga owns rabbits, turtles, and Louisiana crawfish, among other pets, and animal motifs frequently appear in their stitching.
Sometimes they stitch directly on clothes to create original works. It was one of these efforts which recently got them noticed on Twitter for its originality.
Using a Muji polo shirt, they stitched a dramatic scene playing out under the sea: A little red crab swimming away from a hungry octopus extending one of its tentacles to capture it.

"Stitching on a Muji shirt Part 2: a little crab escaping from an attacking octopus."
The dramatic theme and dynamic composition, the realistic and skillful nature of the stitching, along with the fact that it stretches across a large area of the front of the shirt all combine to create a strong impression, eliciting comments such as:
As it turns out, the crab did indeed escape from that octopus:
"(...)Incidentally, I made a story in which the little crab, after having successfully escaped, found shelter in a shirt pocket where, over the course of a few years, it grew up happily. So, rest assured!"
