Ginza Cozy Corner is a longstanding chain of confectionery shops in Japan, and they’re known for their particularly attractive cakes and puddings.

This sweet expertise has even allowed them to carry out various collaborations with Disney. Often this takes the form of a nine-piece set of adorable, fun-size desserts, which artfully portray a host of characters and motifs. In the past, this has included classics like The Little Mermaid and Aladdin.

Their latest jaunt into Disney’s animated world is based on Tangled, a movie released in 2010 and based on the fairytale of Rapunzel. Diehard Disney fans can surely pick out the characters and items represented by each dessert, but here’s a rundown just in case.

Starting from the top-left, there’s an apple and orange jelly inspired by the Sundrop Flower, a chocolate and strawberry roll-cake representing Mother Gothel, and a lemon cream cake portraying the romantic gondola scene.

The middle row has a chocolate cream cake representing Maximus the horse, a melon cream tart featuring the tower where Rapunzel was trapped, and the lanterns are shown through a blueberry jam and grape mousse.

Finally, the bottom row has a matcha cream roll-cake that is a dead ringer for Pascal the chameleon, Rapunzel herself is a strawberry mousse tart, and a white chocolate roll-cake is inspired by her wall paintings.

The box is just as pretty as the cakes, and the set would make a great gift for any Disney fan in your life.

These Tangled-inspired treats cost 2700 yen and will be on sale until mid-March 2022 at branches of Ginza Cozy Corner in Japan.
