The sea isn't always the first thing that come to mind when thinking of adorable animals, but sometimes a look at the ocean floor might change your mind.

Diver Tomomi Murai (@MURAITOMOOMI), a photographer who specializes in taking shots of tiny life underwater, is very aware of that and willing to remind us in their latest video, which has been virally melting hearts on Twitter.

While diving off the coast of eastern Izu in Shizuoka Prefecture, Murai located a small and adorable Mimika bobtail squid, and decided to take a video of it. However, the tiny squid seems to have been put off by Murai observing it, and it quickly began to bury itself in the sand--except its eyes and the top of its head kept popping out.

That's when the squid put in some extra effort:

When the 3cm squid realizes its head isn't totally covered, it begins to frantically use its tentacles to reach out and scoop more sand over itself. It's almost as if the squid is embarrassed and frustrated by not getting the job done initially.

On Twitter, many people couldn't help but fall in love with the squid and replied:

"This is the first time in my life I've ever thought a squid was cute."

"It's so cute! I love the way it looks like it's checking on you. I can't get enough of it."

"It's like a human being adjusting the bedding and sheets with his feet and hands after getting into bed."
