You may be used to signing off on forms and documents with a handwritten signature, but in Japan it is custom to use a stamp called a ‘hanko’ or ‘inkan’ personalised with your name.

These are a must-have when it comes to various formal procedures such as opening a bank account, renting an apartment, or even just accepting packages. But surprisingly, there’s not many rules concerning the design of the stamp, which has led to some awesome personal seal options becoming available. You can get hanko designs including famous characters like Pokemon or Hello Kitty.

The latest release is one for the Kaiju fans and features a star-studded lineup of monsters from several generations. This includes a few iterations of King of the Monsters, Godzilla, as well as some of his foes. All in all, there’s sixteen designs to choose from, divided into two groups depending on the colour of the seal.

The black hanko designs include 1954 Godzilla, 2016 Godzilla, Mechagodzilla, Hedorah, Gigan, Mothra Larvae, Jet Jaguar, and Anguirus.

The blue hanko options are Biollante, Destoroyah, Type-3 Kiryu, Spacegodzilla, Adult Mothra, Heisei Godzilla, Rodan, and King Ghidorah.

The designs can be personalised with a name or word of your choice, but you only get a quite restrictive three characters to play around with.

So if you want to make a monster statement when you sign off on your packages, you can order your personalised Kaiju seal from Premium Bandai’s online store.
