Sailor Moon is probably one of Japan’s most recognisable anime characters around the world, and the series itself is currently celebrating its 30th anniversary. This momentous occasion is being marked in a number of exciting ways, including an exhibition and pop-up cafe at Roppongi Museum in Tokyo.

Among the exhibits on display is a very special item, which will be of interest to fans of both Sailor Moon and high fashion. A Jimmy Choo take on Sailor Moon's iconic boots.

Jimmy Choo is a legendary designer brand when it comes to women’s footwear, so they are highly qualified to take on a challenge such as recreating Sailor Moon’s knee-high, brightly-coloured boots.

The specially-created shoes are made of tightly-fitting, fuchsia pink material, and completely covered in Swarovski crystals.

The striking colour and sparkling details perfectly portray the magic and femininity that the Sailor Moon series is known for, and it seems like the designers at Jimmy Choo have really come up with footwear that a magical girl would wear.

A pair of these boots are being exhibited at the Sailor Moon exhibition at Roppongi Museum, but for those who want to own them for themselves, they’re also being sold in limited quantities.

The price reflects the rarity of these boots, as they’re going for a whopping 1,796,000 yen, that’s close to $13,000 dollars.

Since most of us will have to be content with just taking a look, the exhibition will be running until 30th December this year.
