Any fantasy fan worth their salt knows that there are certain ancient tomes and grimoires that can unleash unspeakable power and even curses. It's not so easy to get our hands on those tomes in the real world, however. Unafraid of the consequences, Mikel did the next best thing-they made their own.

Not only did they expertly craft it from scratch, they added authentic-looking wear and tear, and used luminous tape on the handmade ancient lettering to make it glow in the dark. The book itself is amazing, but when you open it up in the dark it really looks like an ancient grimoire that could fit right in an anime or RPG!

Mikel says they used pinking shears to delicate cut out the tome's mysterious language from luminous tape in 1-2mm fine lettering. The process took up a whole day.

The base for the tome itself was found on Amazon, with Mikel searching for book of magic (魔導書, madosho) style notebooks.

To add even more detail and make the book look like it came from another age, Mikel coffee dried the pages, giving it a tattered look.

The end result is an awesome tome with a gorgeous fantasy aesthetic that really looks like it could unleash spells. Many online were blown away by the homemade grimoire, wanting to try their handt at making one of their own.
