One of Japan's favorite traditional sweets is mitarashi dango, a Japanese dumpling treat made from mochiko rice flour and slathered with sweet soy sauce typically served on skewers. On their own, they look quite appetizing!

Japanese culinary researcher and sweets master nao (@nao2748/Instagram, @kitchenmeow/Twitter) may have found a way to make them look even better, however! Creatively using a combination of traditional ingredients, nao has been crafting these utterly adorable and delicious dango--made to look like fluffy corgi faces and butts!
The expertly crafted and tasty looking dango perfectly capture the happy-go-lucky faces of corgis, and their fluffy butts as well! nao provided a sampling of how their corgi dango have changed throughout the years, which each rendition looking cuter than the last.
