With options like bread as living creatures and useless trivia from elderly men, it would seem safe to say you can no longer be surprised at the contents of a capsule toy machine in Japan. And yet it seems like there is always one more fascinating capsule toy machine to set a new standard for surprise.

Case in point: a new capsule toy machine that has a solution for a very specific grocery store problem. Twitter user Ruu (ruu5259), a mother of three, has had trouble in the past with buying green onions at the supermarket. Being pretty long, green onions are an odd fit for most normal shopping bags and always seem to pop out of them like so:

Fortunately, Ruu found a capsule toy machine engineered to solve that exact problem. When visiting a capsule toy specialty store, Ruu found a machine that dispenses bags specially made to carry green onions!

The capsule toy machine has three different types of bags (which actually look like green onions) to use to carry green onions.

It's almost like wearing an onion itself when you use it!

The niche design has become quite the topic on Twitter, with many expressing that even though it may seem bizarre, is actually very practical. Unfortunately, Ruu's children don't see things the same way, claiming that they refuse to go to the store when she buys green onions because the look is too embarassing...
