Nikuman, or steamed pork buns, are a definitely a fan favorite of the hot food section at Japanese convenience stores--especially since they come in a wide variety of delicious flavors. When you buy a frozen pack to eat at home, however, warming them up is up to you, and it's easy to misjudge how long to leave them in a microwave depending on how much you thaw them out.

Tanaka (Twitter, Instagram) a public relations representative for toy manufacturer Kitwell Co., was reminded of why you shouldn't be too careless when microwaving steamed buns.

Used to warming up nikuman regularly, Tanaka neglected to read the instructions on the package of some they were about to dig into. That neglect resulted in the usually doughy buns being compressed due to too much heat, and losing their fluffiness. Tanaka couldn't help but notice that this led to a transformation in the buns that resembled a self-adhesive bra that now many on Twitter can't unsee!

"I microwaved by steamed buns too much and they turned into a NuBra."

The heated buns also appear to have been squeezed by their plastic wrapping as well. Holding them up to view from the side, Tanaka noticed that after the they looked like a strapless adhesive bra. Perhaps not the most appetizing comparison, but as many on Twitter agreed, the resemblance is striking!
