Japanese 食パン shokupan bread is a type of white bread known for its light and fluffy texture as well as its slightly sweet taste. As many foreigners who have visited Japan know, it's one of the reasons why the sandwiches in Japanese convenience stores taste so good.

However, all Japanese white bread isn't made equal.

Steam Bread Tokyo, which originally opened as Steam Bread Ebisu in the trendy Ebisu neighborhood of Tokyo's Shibuya Ward in March 2021 before rebranding in October of the same year, quickly made a reputation for itself with its amazingly sweet and fluffy steamed bread made with Japanese wheat, Hokkaido milk, condensed milk, cream cheese, and honey, as well as its sandwiches using their bread.

Their Cheese Egg Omelette Sandwich, one of their regular menu items, has been featured several times on Japanese television. Made in two layers, combining a more cooked omelette and a runny, gooey, cheesy omelette filling, they're simply divine.

Their amazing bread is also worth buying on its own. Just look how fluffy it is!
