This beautiful white-sand beach and light green colored sea feels like as if you’re in a tropical island.

Believe me – this is Japan. Tsunoshima Ohashi, located in Shimonoseki, Yamaguchi.

This bridge is apparently the 2nd largest bridge that is connected to an isolated island called Tsunoshima.

The Tsunoshima lighthouse is also a well-known spot. It was designed by Richard Henry Brunton – a Scottish architect who is also known as the father of Japanese lighthouses. It is selected as the top 50 lighthouses of Japan.

Tsunoshima island boasts one of the most beautiful beaches of the Japan Sea called ‘Shiokaze Cobalt Blue Beach’. Many visitors from nearby prefecture come to this beach – it’s that good.

There are also great parks in the island – they are designed with a British style to pay homage to the architect of the Tsunoshima lighthouse. These parks are great spots to see the sunset.

That’s not all – there are many eateries in Tsunoshima Island that offer fantastic seafood!

Tsunoshima Ohashi and Tsunoshima Island is full of great sights – you can also enjoy some barbeque and marine sports in this area.

We think it’s a great spot to visit during summer – if you are traveling near this area, then it’s certainly a must-visit spot.
