Bali is just one of the many dream destinations of a perfect vacation, but the beautiful beaches and deep Balinese culture definitely places it at the top of the list. One famous tourist spot is the Uluwatu Temple, one of the six key temples believed to be Bali’s spiritual pillars.

In addition to the magnificent scenery, there are macaques living in the area around the temple. And endearing as they may seem, they are actually quite sneaky, and are notorious for stealing valuable items from unwary tourists.

But when BBC host Chris Packham went to see the macaques for the program World’s Sneakiest Animals, he discovered that they're often willing to do a little “negotiating.”

So if you ever plan on visiting, your best bet is to leave your most valuable items back at the hotel, or at least tucked inside your bag and pockets. But if you must bring them, make sure you carry around some eggs.
