Baby Sea Otter Sleeps On Mother’s Belly

A one-day-old baby sea otter sleeps on his mother's belly was captured by photographer Connie Levenhagen. The two were spotted in a pool outside the Monterey Bay Aquarium, in California.

"This baby sea otter was born in the Great Tide Pool at the Monterey Bay Aquarium on 12/20/15," said a zoo employee. “Her mom is a wild, Californian sea otter that sought refuge in the pool to shield her against other animals and the stormy day.”
