Bittersweet Haagen Dazs Matcha Crumble

Ice cream is a tough market in U.S, customers are granted tons of options to pick their favorite ice cream in the supermarket. Some of us may have forgotten that Haagen Daz cream actually produces rich thick flavor ice cream, and has a long history since 1961. This friendly luxury ice cream brand strives to make good quality at a highly reasonable price.

The concept of “What you pay is what you get“ works pretty well in Japanese culture. Last year, Japan’s Haagen Dazs sold two Japanese style ice creams, the roasted soybean flavor and the walnut flavor. They were sold out in a short period of time because of the overwhelming response from customers. The production speed was unable to meet the large orders, so they temporary shutdown the supply for half a year.

This year, they are bringing one more flavor back to the market, which is the Matcha(Green tea) Crumble. It is described as the layer inside is spread with crunchy matcha cookies, with matcha coating all over it. The taste is bittersweet, and has a specific smell of matcha.

The limited Japan’s Haagen Dazs matcha crumble sells from February 23rd, grab one soon before everything runs out again.
