The Dark Knight Turned Into Epic Figure With Batman Samurai Armor Display
During May, Japanese families with boys display figures of armors in their homes to wish and pray that their kids to grow strong.
People believe that this tradition started in samurai families during the Edo period.
This year, however, traditional figurine manufacturer Yoshitoku has introduced new characters to guard and protect Japanese children:
Many people mention Japanese or Eastern influence in Star Wars films; when you actually take that concept into reality like this by fusing Star Wars characters with samurai armor, I think it works. And the finesse that's gone into the figure is mesmerizing!
And of course, Darth Vader
The helemt of Darth Vader and Storm Troopers was designed by well-known figure designer Takayuki Takeya, and converted into a digital 3D image before it is intricately carved.
They are pretty expensive: even the cheapest model is priced at 140,400 yen (approx. 1,200 USD), and no overseas shipping is available at the time of writing this article.
Although they are indeed stunning, you can't stop wondering whether your kid's going to end up like Kylo Ren...
