Live Action Fullmetal Alchemist Coming To Theaters In 2017

If you talk about anime masterpiece, Fullmetal Alchemist is the one big choices that never should be left out. It was serialized in Japan’s Shonen magazine between 2001 to 2010, received plenty of awards such as notable entry, best screenplay, best voice actor at the Tokyo Anime Awards. The main character of the story Edward lost his mother when he was a child, and follow ups with his little brother Alphonse to search for philosopher’s stone to restore their bodies after a forbidden attempt to revive their mother using alchemy. The adventure goes deeper as the story goes along, and shows work, corruption, race inequality, and even living with disabilities. The sophisticated and well-crafted anime ended up in a great note that leaves fans unforgettable memories.

Based on the extremely high recognition from the world, a recent release announced that the live action Fullmetal Alchemist will come to theaters in 2017 around winter. Unlike the Attack of Titan movie tragedy that we encountered last year, the film will be produced in a serious matter. The nominated for best director Fumihiiko Sori highly desires the film to be as close to the original manga as possible. Since the story setting takes place after the European Industrial revolution, the whole crew will travel to Europe to start shooting, and begin from Italy in next month June, then other European countries and so on.

Besides the realistic background setting, the featured cast members will be all Japanese, and pretty much most of them are the current A-list actor members that are often shown on Japanese TV Drama. The main actor will be Ryosuke Yamada as the main character Edward Elric, who starred in a 2013 TV drama The Case Files of Young Kindaich, and last year's Assassination Classroom. As for other popular members, Tsubasa Honda as Winry Rockbell, Dean Fujioka as Roy Mustang, and Yasuko Matsuyuki as Lust are also joining the team.

Although we don’t want to get our hopes up too much, it seems pretty legit knowing the goal directions of the production. Be ready to shed tears not from some romantic loving drama, but some serious brotherhood romance.
