Japan is known for it's incredible seafood, and Japanese restaurants are known for their all-you-can-eat (食べ放題) and all-you-can-drink (飲み放題) menus. So putting these together is any seafood lover's dream come true. If oysters are your thing, Mitsuryosen, which offers all-you-can-eat oysters from Miyagi and Okayama prefecture, won't disappoint.

Located in Chiba, Misturyosen offers customers a chance to eat all the oysters they can handle in a 90 min. or 120 min. oyster buffet set. The oysters are brought to you in a bucket which contains about 15 oysters and the customers use a glove and knife provided to shuck the oysters and place them on a grill at the table. Once the bucket is empty the staff will bring over a fresh bucket of oysters.

The restaurant has various types of seating that range from couple seats for dates to sections for big groups for birthday parties or events. The customers range from young people socializing, salarymen after work, work or school friends and even families. It's an Izakaya setting with seaside decor so people can drink, relax, talk and enjoy their night out all while having their fill of oysters and other seafood while they watch their oysters cook.

If you have never eaten oysters or are not sure how to shuck an oyster the staff is super friendly and gives a demonstration when your first oysters arrive. Unlike other restaurants, the staff here are much more informal and outgoing. They are very friendly and walk around making small talk with all the tables to ensure everyone is having a good time and satisfied with their food.

Besides the oyster option there are also other seafood sets and meat and vegetable options as well. The place gets pretty crowded on weekends and as people start loosening up after the all-you-can-drink alcohol, the vibe is a very warm, friendly summertime feel, which is good as the cold winter season is fast approaching. How many buckets of oysters do you think you can eat?
